The Innova mini-split has left the shelf. Here is what the old page said, what 12,000 BTU really covers and three mini-splits you can order today.

Where the Innova Went
The old page reviewed the Innova 12,000 BTU ductless mini-split. Amazon returned a page-not-found error for the old link on October 21, 2026, and a search for Innova mini-splits turned up other brands only. So the review below keeps the old facts and points you to units you can order today.
What 12,000 BTU Covers
Twelve thousand BTU is one ton. In a well-insulated room, that is about 450 to 550 square feet. The Albott listing says 750, which is a best case at best. Size the room with the BTU calculator and add a bit for sun and tall ceilings.
SEER2: the New Efficiency Number
Since 2023, the US uses SEER2, a stricter test than the old SEER. A unit listed at 20 SEER2 is better than a unit listed at 20 SEER. Read the label twice. Our SEER2 energy savings guide shows what the number saves on a real bill.
Here is where 12,000 BTU mini-splits are going: cheaper, smarter and anonymous. Prices have slid into the $400 range for no-name kits, and brands you have never heard of pop up weekly. Innova’s old listing is already gone. That is the pattern. Names come and go, the install stays the same.
3 12,000 BTU Mini-Splits You Can Order
Rechecked on Amazon on October 21, 2026. Prices, ratings and buttons are below.
Price on Amazon: $399.99 | 4.1 stars from 423 ratings (checked October 21, 2026)
The Albott 12,000 BTU is the cheapest of the three. The listing shows SEER2 18, 115V power, heating and cooling, dehumidify and fan modes, noise below 29 dB and coverage up to 750 square feet. It says an HVAC tech is needed. It costs $399.99, with a 4.1 rating from 423 ratings.
Price on Amazon: $799.99 | 4.4 stars from 2,203 ratings (checked October 21, 2026)
The Senville LETO 12,000 BTU is a 4-in-1 heat pump on 110/120V. The listing says it works with Alexa, runs as a heat pump down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit and includes an installation package. It costs $799.99, with a 4.4 rating from over 2,200 ratings.
Price on Amazon: $799.96 | 4.4 stars from 1,470 ratings (checked October 21, 2026)
The DELLA Vario 12,000 BTU is a pre-charged 115V system. The listing shows 20.5 SEER2, coverage up to 550 square feet, Alexa and Wi-Fi control, and a 16.4-foot installation kit. It costs $799.96, with a 4.4 rating from over 1,400 ratings.
The downside is the install. Cheap kits tempt people into DIY work, and refrigerant lines are not a weekend craft. Skip the vacuum step or nick a flare, and a $400 unit turns into a $1,000 repair. Expect more warranty fights over who hung what, and more listings that say HVAC tech needed in small print. Read that print.
Install: DIY or Pro?
Two parts of a mini-split hide in the box: a pre-charged line set and a pile of flare fittings. Pre-charged means the refrigerant is already in the outdoor unit. That helps, but you still need a vacuum pump and flare tools if you cut the lines. The Albott listing says an HVAC tech is needed. Treat that as a warning, not a footnote.
The Cleaning Con
The old page said the unit needs frequent cleaning. That is true of every mini-split. The filters collect dust within weeks. Wash them monthly in summer, and the coil stays clear. A blinking light is often a clue. See our guide on a mini-split blinking green light.
Running Cost
A 12,000 BTU inverter mini-split draws around 500 to 1,000 watts while cooling. At 15 cents a kilowatt hour, that is under 15 cents an hour. A mini-split costs less to run than a window unit of the same size, and that gap pays for the upgrade over a few summers.
The Pick
Want the lowest price? The Albott. Want the biggest review pile and a known name? The Senville. Want pre-charged with a full install kit? The DELLA Vario. For the wider picture, see the best mini-split air conditioners and the guide to single-zone mini-splits.

Refrigerant work needs a licensed pro in most places. Some listings say so outright.
How much room does a 12,000 BTU mini-split cool?

What does SEER2 mean?

Final Word
The Innova is gone. The Albott is the low-price pick, the Senville is the proven one and the DELLA Vario is the pre-charged one. Hire a pro for the lines.
What comes next: more 115V models for homes without a 230V line, more apps and a shake-out of the cheapest brands. Buy a name with a parts shelf and a support line that answers.
